Artist's Description
When one thinks of canyons cut by the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon generally comes to mind. The river, however, is (was) quite active cutting canyons all through Arizona. Marble Canyon is just downriver from Horseshoe Bend, one of the more recognized spots on the Colorado. I photographed Marble Canyon from the Navajo Bridge which takes one into the tiny, unincorporated town of Marble Canyon where one finds a gas station, convenience market and hotel. One day I will explore the landscape around Marble Canyon, just not this day.
