This image was photographed while hiking along the Second Water Trail in the Superstition Wilderness, a designated section of the Tonto National Forest in Central Arizona. In the distance Superstition Mountain has a hint of snow on its top. The clouds appear threatening but they aren't, it is simply late afternoon with the remains of rain clouds (snow in the high elevations) catch the shadows. Superstition Mountain, by the way, is directly ahead in the center top of the image.
