Artist's Description
I photographed Prickly Pear Cactus Flowers a day after a two-day spring rain. The whole desert was aflame with colors of the cactuses in bloom along with wildflowers like the Globe Mallow. Truly a sight to behold. Lucky for us we evolved an eye with cones and rods and three-dimensional vision to be able to see this level of beauty.
