The West Dundee Illinois Village Hall is an anchor in the business district of that Fox River community. Over 100 years old, the building stands tall overlooking the valley containng the Fox River to the east.

This image focuses on the mechanical vents and office windows under the clock (which seems obligatory in these turn of the 20th century public buildings) without the clock itself breaking the symmetry of these windows and vents. Converted to black and white with a vignette and some contrast added, the image pays homage to Walker Evans.
