Description
The remains of a Utah Juniper root system found on the climb up to Delicate Arch at Arches National Park, Moab Utah (USA). This ancient root system is used as a trail marker as the trail itself becomes less manicured. I particularly like to find things that are often overlooked by others as they march toward an ultimate destination. I prefer looking closely at everything surrounding me making the hike to the iconic location worth the effort.
I processed the raw image file using Photomatix Pro 5, filters from Topaz Labs including Detail 3 and DeJPEG 4 as well as some minor tweaking in Photoshop including sCurve adjustments, brightness, saturation and the camera raw filter to produce this hdr image.
I donate 25% of the profits from the sale of this image to PROJECT ZERO: The Project to End Prostate Cancer in order to help develop better detection, prevention and a cure for this killer of males around the world.
This image is, as are all my images, protected by international copyright conventions and may not be reproduced for commercial use without express written permission.
