A view of two saguaros from Lost Dutchman State Park in the Superstition Wilderness a part of the Tonto National Forest outside Apache Junction, AZ. Four Peaks, the tallest mountain in the distance, is seen.

I shot this image on a very overcast day with all the problems of a narrow dynamic range. I used a center-weighted average meter with aperture priority and an ISO of 200 with an 18-55 Canon EFs IS lens set at 34mm at f 7.1. The shutter speed was 1/400 sec.

Conversely, when the temperature reaches 105 degrees for five consecutive days I run from the dreadful heat back to the humidity of the midwest. That, my friends, explains the split...
