Description
The red rocks to the west of Las Vegas Nevada are exquisite. They are a visual party. I photographed this image in Calico Canyon, a stunning area of red rocks and Mohave Desert. The conversion to black and white mirrors the idea expressed by the great Ansel Adams when, in replying to a question of why he didn’t photograph in color, he quipped, “Black and white IS the color of photography.” I tend to mostly agree.
