Description

As I drove the Tioga Pass Road from Lee Vining California across the High Sierras in Yosemite National Park I was reminded of the Going to the Sun Road at Glacier National Park. There were visual delights at each and every turn. The 2 hour drive took nearly 4 hours each way. One couldn�t help but stop and take in the vast beauty of these mountains.

This image is of a rapids along what I think is Yosemite Creek downstream of Quaking Aspen Falls. I may be wrong about this but it is my best recollection some couple of months after this image was exposed in early June.

I processed the raw image, shot with a Canon 60D with an 18-55 Canon lens, file using Photomatix Pro 5, filters from Topaz Labs including Detail 3 and DeJPEG 4 as well as some minor tweaking in Photoshop including sCurve adjustments, brightness, saturation and the camera raw filter to produce this HDR image.
