I was photographing at the Brunner Family Farm, a Kane County Forest Preserve, on a section of the park now leased by an organic farmer as both a working and demonstration farm. Free range chickens, milk cows, hogs and lambs grace the pastures of this space. The sun provided light from the left behind the trees as the trees embraced autumn in early October. The two cows were grazing quietly along the path that leads back to the milking barn. The strong backlight provides an idyllic glow to this image.
