Description
While walking along the Crosscut Trail in the Superstition Wilderness, a section of the Tonto National Forest, just outside Apache Junction, Arizona I came across this gnarly dead skeleton of a Mesquite Tree. I liked the way it framed the southern area of Superstition Mountain so I photographed it. The Sonoran Desert continues to reveal its secrets the more I hike along its wilderness trails.
