Detail of an untrimmed palm at Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve. The palms at Thousand Palms are, for the most part, are treated naturally as old growth forms a beard around the trunk. Palm trees in their natural state are stunning. This image is a detail of the lower part of the tree; while I call it an image of the trunk, in fact, this untrimmed growth hides the trunk from view.
