Artist's Description

The Dead Sentinel is a 4000 year old bristlecone pine located in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in the Inyo National Forest. It died around 350 years ago yet it still stands tall. Because of the extremely slow rate of decay, mirrored only by its slow rate of growth, this tree may last another 4000 years before it is completely returned to nature.

A limited edition of 25 prints signed and numbered by the photographer are available directly from our studio. Sizes equivalent to any of the sizes offered as a print by demand through this online gallery are offered in this limited edition. These prints are only available directly from our studio gallery.
